What Doulas Know is a podcast to educate, support and empower women: before, during and after pregnancy, labor and childbirth.
Carolyn Reveal started this podcast in 2019 after realizing that the information surrounding pregnancy and birth was often limited. Throughout her career as a registered nurse, Carolyn has spent time as an operating room nurse, school nurse, and patient educator. Since becoming a registered nurse in 1977, she has striven to make medical decisions transparent and understandable to her patients. She was drawn to becoming a doula to support her daughter and daughter's friends as they began their journeys to parenthood. Carolyn joined an incredible community of other doulas, her doula sisters, and through this podcast, they want to empower women to make their own choices and improve informed consent throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
